SPREADING THE ENJOYMENT OF PLAYING AN INSTRUMENT Bachelors Degree Ohio State University • Masters Degree Kent State University Kappa Kappa Psi Member
With a degree from Ohio State and a Masters Degree in music education from Kent State, I have been teaching music in public and parochial schools for many decades. My background includes playing in the Ohio State Symphony Orchestra and the OSU Marching Band (Rose Bowl) and for such notables as Al Hirt, Warren Covington. I played for the Cleveland Browns Game Band and The New Wave Band. As an active performing musician in the Sarasota, Florida area, I play a great variety of instruments. I am also a music composer in the classical, jazz, pop, genres and have had some of my compositions published. I spend the better part of every day with music and enjoy watching, and teaching young kids and adults grow musically.

Jim Brenner: Experienced Music Instructor Eager to Share His Knowledge
Science has shown that learning how to play an instrument helps one develop a better mind, and doctors state it aids in various disorders. Music also opens the door to make new friends and join a musical organization. As a music instructor with many years of diverse musical experience, I provide individual music lessons for children and adults who want to play orchestral, band, or other diverse instruments. I currently work with 20 students from age 6 to 80 years old and love helping them improve their musical skills.
